Neelah Pincus is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (SW9639). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Lafayette College and received her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Barry University in 1997. Over the past 25 years, Neelah has had a very wide variety of experience working with individuals, couples, and groups which is how she realized her passion and her expertise in helping clients overcome their challenges with anxiety disorders, panic disorder, and depression.

As a seasoned social worker currently working in the private practice environment, Neelah primarily utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Interpersonal therapy, and Mindfulness therapy.  Increasing client’s mindfulness can result in reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression, improved concentration, and a number of other interpersonal benefits.  Neelah uses a combination of these evidenced-based approaches to help clients understand their thoughts/emotions and how they affect their personal relationships.

Neelah is a mother of two teenage daughters and has been married for 15 years.  She comes from a family of mental health providers, as her mother is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and her sister is a Life Coach.  Her personal experiences battling chronic anxiety as a teenager/young adult enables her to empathize easily and provide a safe, relatable environment for clients.  Neelah helps her clients learn tangible coping skills for anxiety/depression and she provides psychoeducation with resources to aid in each individual’s journey to mental wellness.
