Mia R. Baldioceda, M.S.
Mia R. Baldioceda is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the State of Florida (IMT 3468) and a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She received her BA from Touro College Manhattan and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.
Born in Miami from Cuban Jewish roots, Mia has always appreciated the diverse nature of South Florida. From a young age, she thought long and hard about how a person could turn life’s hardships into opportunities for healing and growth. Through a holistic perspective, Mia recognizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and soul in the therapeutic journey. She considers the various parts of a person’s life that may affect their mental and emotional well-being. Mia’s work has focused primarily on individuals, couples, and families struggling with co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders.
As a therapist, her hope is to help individuals and families improve their quality of life and thrive.
Therapeutic approaches that guide Mia’s practice include but are not limited to attachment-based therapy, emotionally focused therapy, somatic healing, and inner child work.
Mia and her husband Ary have been blessed with four children and live in South Florida.
