Michelle Bennett, M.S.

Michelle Bennett is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH 19217).  After spending 20 years in the legal field, Michelle earned her master’s degree in Counseling at Nova Southeastern University.  She is a member of NSU’s chapter of Psi Chi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.

She has experience working with adults both individually and in groups and has worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and personality disorders.  Michelle has helped clients navigate grief, job loss, suicidal ideation, stress management and interpersonal relationship issues.

Long before obtaining her Masters, Michelle had a passion for the mental health field and the empowerment that therapy can provide a person to make healthy changes in their lives. Some of these changes include a higher self-esteem, increased confidence and the ability to love and accept one’s self.  Michelle primarily utilizes CBT and DBT skills when working with clients but tailors her sessions based on the individual client’s needs and desires.
