Cassandra Cacace, M. S., LMFT
Cassandra Cacace (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT4161). She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University (NSU).
She enjoys learning and helping others. As a result, Cassandra decided to continue her education and is pursuing a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy from NSU.
Ms. Cacace works with a wide range of clients, including individuals, kids, teens, and families. She has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with mental health and the transition into adulthood. Cassandra interned with residential programs for teens, homeless shelters, and with the Promise Program, an innovative school-based therapy program geared toward reducing the school-to-prison pipeline in Broward County.
Cassandra also has a background and passion for family play therapy and utilizes play, art, and other creative means to help her clients. Tapping into creativity is a great way for clients to safely explore problems, solutions, emotions, and new meanings in a nonjudgmental setting. Clients do not need previous art experience to benefit from using this modality.
Ms. Cacace also works with individuals and families affected by epilepsy. This diagnosis often comes with life-altering changes in social interactions, school, independence, and potentially mental health. Cassandra Cacace is Seizure First Aid Certified through the Epilepsy Foundation and supports parents and children navigating the social, emotional, and mental health challenges of epilepsy.
Additional Affiliations: Cassandra is a Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Therapy Honor Society.
Cassandra works collaboratively with her clients and values creating a judgment-free space for client to explore and creatively find solutions that work for them. She utilizes a Solution-Focused and Narrative approach and integrates other systemic modalities.
